Hi everyone! For years, we have been posting the question “What’s in your mug today?” in the morning feed of our facebook page. The question has provided a fun way for us to interact with our customers, while acknowledging the unique qualities of the K-Cups we sell. (There is so much variety in the K-Cup world, that we each could drink a different blend of coffee every morning for weeks and never drink the same one twice!) More recently, we have also added sweet and silly images to our morning posts as a joyful (and sometimes random) way to say, “Good Morning!”
Now we want to make it possible for our customers to take and even more active role in the morning posts, if they so choose. Customers will now have the chance to send photos our way to be used in the morning posts. If the content is deemed appropriate, your photo could appear in our morning feed as we all greet the day together, our mugs of coffee in hand!
If the idea appeals to you, please email your photo to newsletter@coffeegiant.com. In the subject line, type “morning post submission.” Attach the photo as a .jpg file. Also, within the body of the email, feel free to tell us the back-story of the photo so we can include it with the post.
Here are a few tips to consider before you email your photo to us (please read all the information below, because it includes your legal responsibilities regarding your submission):
- People generally respond well to pets. A photo of your pet ~ your adorable, loving friend and life’s companion ~ is one safe bet to get an awww-worthy photo broadcast to our 30,000 facebook fans. Why not send in a photo of your pet in costume, your pet sleeping, or your pet posing with your favorite coffee mug and K-Cup blend?
- Since coffee is our business, of course, we also think it would be fun to see our customers posing with their favorite coffee mug, or in their favorite coffee-drinking location. We can see you cuddled up with the mug you made in fifth-grade pottery class, or swathed in a blanket on your front porch drinking coffee as the sun rises, or sipping out of that trusty travel mug that gets your through your commute to work every morning!
- Please remember that not everyone responds with overwhelming love and affection to everything posted on the internet. Because we want this to be a positive, community-building experience for everyone, we will monitor the responses to our morning posts. But we can’t be working the facebook page every moment of the day, and it is possible you may see a negative reaction to your post before we can delete it. We are not responsible for the comments of others, but again, we will do our best to keep the conversation positive, and we hope you will, too.
Finally, and most importantly: you are responsible for the photos which you upload. By uploading a photo, you fully and unconditionally agree to the following terms and conditions:
- I affirm that my photo, in its entirety, is a single work of original material taken by me. By uploading my photo, I represent, acknowledge, and warrant that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by me, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
- I accept that any illegal or prohibited content will not be considered for publication on the CoffeeGIANT facebook page and may be reported to the authorities. I understand that prohibited content includes anything that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, slanderous or libelous, and that my photo must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. I respect the fact that CoffeeGIANT’s facebook page is a public forum intended to encourage others and I affirm that my photo does not distract from that aim.
- I affirm that any person(s) appearing in my photograph have given their consent for the image to possibly appear on the public forum that is CoffeeGIANT’s facebook page. I affirm that the parent(s) and/ or legal guardian(s) of any minors appearing in my image have given consent to the uploading of the image.
- I agree that I will receive NO COMPENSATION of any kind from CoffeeGIANT for the use of my image. I also understand that CoffeeGIANT is under NO OBLIGATION to post my photo on their facebook page and that it is CoffeeGIANT’s sole discretion to decide what content they allow on their page. If reason is made known after posting that the photo should be removed, I agree that CoffeeGIANT has the right to remove my photo.
I understand that I will not receive confirmation for the receipt of my photo. I also accept that in respect for my property, CoffeeGIANT will delete my file if it is not used within a timely manner. My photo will not be kept on file for use beyond the next calendar year.
