How does a PRE-ORDER work?
Occasionally CoffeeGIANT will list items as "available by PRE-ORDER". To purchase these products, add them to your cart just as you would any other product in our store.
All items (whether PRE-ORDER or IN-STOCK) will be charged to you at the time of purchase. PRE-ORDERS will be filled on a "first come, first served" basis. We list expected arrival dates in all PRE-ORDER listings; please check back with us for updates on expected delivery dates, as they are subject to change due to delay in product from the manufacturer/distributor or in the event that we receive damaged product.
SHIPPING of PRE-ORDER Items: If your order contains only PRE-ORDER items, the order will ship within 24 hours of PRE-ORDER product arrival at our warehouse. If your order contains PRE-ORDER items as well as IN-STOCK items, CoffeeGIANT will ship your order in full within 24 hours of PRE-ORDER product arrival at our warehouse. Please place a separate order for IN-STOCK items if you would like for them to ship immediately.
How do I know if an item is on back-order?
When an item is temporarily unavailable due to a back-order it will be noted on the site.
If you would like to receive an email from our system when the item is available, click the Notify Me link found below the "out of stock" warning. You must be logged in to use this feature.
What happens if an item in my order is back-ordered?
Unfortunately there are times an item within an order becomes out of stock before the order is packaged. If an item in your order becomes "out of stock" before your order is packaged for shipment, this is a "backorder" and the following procedure will apply:
- The item will be noted as "backordered" on order packing slip and given to the Operations Manager, who will then determine how the order will be handled -- i.e.; hold entire order, or ship available items. Holding entire order is based on anticipation of inventory replenishment, and cost to ship.
- Customer will be notified of back-order and the anticipated time of shipping or refund.
- When inventory has been replenished, all back-ordered items are shipped. Items should be restocked and available within a 2-week period.
Please note: only back-orders of four or more items will be fulfilled. Back-orders of three or fewer items will be credited back to the credit/debit card, or PayPal account used at time of purchase; no cash refunds will be given. Refunded amount is the average price paid per item; if the back-ordered item was discounted using a promotion or coupon, refund will be made for the average price per like item.

What is a K-Cup/Pod/ESE Pod/Fresh Pack?
Most single-serve beverage systems are proprietary-based, meaning the capsules to use are specifically created for this one machine type.
K-Cups: The Keurig® single-cup brewing system uses a special packaging for coffee, tea and hot cocoa called K-Cup® portion packs or "K-Cups®". Each K-Cup is an airtight, mini-brewer that locks out oxygen, light, moisture and humidity while locking in freshness and flavor.
Coffee Pods: Coffee pods are made of freshly roasted and ground coffee, tampered to the correct pressure then encapsulated in a paper filter. Pods are a very eco-friendly single-serve option, as they may be taken directly from your brewer to your garden and used as a nitrogen-rich compost. Universal pods are meant for use in most pod brewers, and can range in size from 7-9 grams, and 55-70 mm diameter. These will work in Grindmaster GPOD/OPOD, BUNN MyCafe MCA/MCP, SunCafe H701A, Wolfgang Puck CafeXpress Single/Dual Brewers, Senseo and Melitta pod brewers. The
Mega pod line from Baronet Coffee contain 12 grams of coffee, and will work only in select standard soft pod brewers, like the BUNN My Cafe MCA/MCP, Krups Home Cafe line, and Senseo (using the two-pod holder). Please check your brewer manual to see if these overstuffed pods will work with your machine.
ESE Pods: ESE pods are meant for use in specialized espresso brewers (E.S.E. stands for Easy Serving Espresso). These are not compatible with standard soft pod brewers, as they are only 7 grams and 45 mm. Espresso pods enable anyone to produce rich, creamy espresso consistently and conveniently without guesswork or mess. Our E.S.E. standard size espresso coffee pods feature premium coffee that has been perfectly pre-ground, pre-measured and pre-tamped then sandwiched between two pieces of biodegradable filter paper. Each espresso pod that we carry is also individually wrapped for freshness and can be used in any espresso machine designed to accept E.S.E espresso pods.
Fresh Packs: Flavia® has been satisfying the individual tastes of coffee and tea drinkers for over 20 years. Flavia® was the first to introduce Brew-by-Pack to the home and office, and the first to introduce authentic cappuccino and mochaccino and chai latte. The Flavia® fresh pack brews directly into the cup with no cross-over of flavor from the previous drink. FLAVIA® is a registered trademark of Mars, Incorporated, known for brands that include M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, UNCLE BEN’S®, and MILKY WAY®.
Do I need a home or office Keurig machine?
Keurig recommends all offices use UL approved commercial equipment for non-household uses. Due to the differences in intended use and design between our UL Commercial Use brewers and our UL Household Use brewers, Keurig does not honor warranties on products used outside of the UL authorized certification. This means, for instance, that a household use certified product used in a commercial setting is not covered under our warranty.
Keurig Commercial Grade brewers are engineered to stand up to the toughest demands of commercial/office use. Our Commercial Grade brewers generally brew about 10 times the volume of a typical At Home brewer. Commercial Keurig brewers are UL Approved for Commercial Use, and include special construction/materials required for such approval.
CoffeeGIANT.com, the owner of this web site, is authorized to sell Keurig brand brewers and K-Cup portion packs to residential customers in the U.S. and Canada. For more information on our Commercial Services please call (800) 480-8071 or visit
OfficeCoffeeGIANT.com for more information.
How long are the K-Cups good for?
Each K-Cup has a Best-Used-by-Date imprinted on the side. The Best-Used-by-Date is a guideline for optimal freshness recommended by the Roaster, it’s not an expiration date. K-Cups are nitrogen-flushed, sealed for freshness and impermeable to oxygen, moisture and light.
Do any of your Keurig K-Cups contain gluten?
All of the coffees offered in K-Cups are gluten and gluten byproduct-free. The Café Escapes French Vanilla Café-au-Lait Café Escapes (which CoffeeGIANT does not currently carry) contains small amounts of wheat.
For additional nutritional information on a particular K-Cup, we suggest you contact the Roaster directly.
What allergens are contained in your K-Cups?
Flavored coffee K-Cups made by Coffee People®, Gloria Jean’s, Green Mountain Coffee® and Timothy's Coffee® do not contain any nut proteins. They declare that their flavored coffees are free of all nut allergens because the flavored coffees are all flavored in separate vats from the non-flavored coffees. Even though there are no nut proteins used, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters performs a thorough clean-down between flavors during the production process.
Hot cocoa K-Cups may contain milk, soy or tree nuts so please refer to the K-Cup detail page for specific nutritional information about a hot cocoa K-Cup
Is there any fat or sugar in your K-Cups?
Coffee and tea K-Cups do not contain fat or sugar. Natural and artificial flavorings added to coffee do not add any significant nutritional value. A cup of regular black coffee will contain approximately 2-4 calories (less than 1 gram carbohydrates) and 0 fats. Flavored coffees will add 0.8 calories, 0.3 grams carbohydrates and 0 fats.
Hot cocoa K-Cups, Perfect Iced Tea K-Cups and Café Escapes® K-Cups do contain sugar. Please refer to the K-Cup detail page for specific information about a K-Cup.
Coffee and Nutrition
Nutritionally speaking, brewed coffee is pretty much inert. Coffee has virtually no calories or fats, no carbohydrates, no sodium, no cholesterol… if it were required to carry a nutritional product label, that label would consist mostly of a lot of zeros. (In fact, coffee is exempt from federal food label programs precisely because it has zero nutritive value.) That said, coffee does offer a number of trace minerals (Thiamin, Niacin, Folate, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Manganese) and is a good source of Potassium, Pantothenic Acid and Riboflavin. A 6 ounce cup of brewed coffee may contain 2 to 4 milligrams of Sodium… most from the water used to brew the coffee and not the coffee, itself.
Flavored Coffee
Our flavored coffees are likewise free of calories and carbs. Our flavored coffees have no additional nutritional impact. We add no sugars or sweeteners of any kind. So while our flavors may taste indulgent, they're absolutely guilt-free. (Note: Our Fair Trade Rain Forest Nut® no longer features slices of Brazil nuts.)
Sugar? Milk? Cream?
While coffee itself has virtually no nutritional impact, the things you might add to our coffee will, in turn, dial up those numbers. And, if what you’re really doing is adding a little bit of coffee to a large cup of steamed milk (with a few tablespoons of flavored syrups on top!) the results can be pretty dramatic.
Do you have low-acid coffee in a K-Cup?
Currently we do not have a low-acid K-Cup.
What kind of maintenance is required for the brewer?
We recommend regular cleaning and basic maintenance to help prolong the life of your Brewer.
Cleaning Your Keurig Brewer:
- Brewer Housing & External Components – Clean with a soapy, damp, non-abrasive cloth. Never immerse the Brewer in water or other liquids.
- Drip Tray and Drip Tray Plate – Clean with a soapy, damp, non-abrasive cloth and rinse thoroughly. The Drip Tray and Drip Tray Plate should not be placed in the dishwasher.
- Water Reservoir Lid & Water Reservoir: Clean with a soapy, damp, non-abrasive cloth and rinse thoroughly. Do not dry the inside of the Water Reservoir with a cloth as lint may remain. The Water Reservoir Lid and Water Reservoir should not be placed in the dishwasher.
- K-Cup Holder Assembly – Place the Assembly onto the top shelf of a dishwasher and select a low temperature setting.
De-Scaling Your Keurig Brewer:
Mineral content in water varies from place to place. Depending on the mineral content of the water in your area, calcium deposits or scale may build up in your Brewer. Scale is non-toxic, but left unattended, it can hinder Brewer performance. De-scaling your Brewer helps maintain the heating element and other internal parts of the Brewer that come in contact with water. The Brewer should be de-scaled every 3-6 months to ensure optimal performance or when there are white deposits in the Cold Water Reservoir. It is possible for calcium deposits to build up faster, making it necessary to de-scale more often. Please reference your Brewer’s Owner’s Manual for specific de-scaling instructions, or select from the list below.
What is Fair Trade?
Fair Trade Certification empowers farmers and farm workers to lift themselves out of poverty by investing in their farms and communities, protecting the environment, and developing the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace.

TransFair USA, a non-profit organization, is the only independent, third-party certifier of Fair Trade products in the U.S. and one of 20 members of Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International (FLO). TransFair’s rigorous audit system, which tracks products from farm to finished product, verifies industry compliance with Fair Trade criteria. TransFair allows U.S. companies to display the Fair Trade Certified™ label on products that meet strict Fair Trade standards
Fair Trade Certification is currently available in the U.S. for coffee, tea and herbs, cocoa and chocolate, fresh fruit, sugar, rice, and vanilla.
What is Organic?

Organic coffee is coffee that has been grown according to organic farming standards and techniques, without the use of artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. The term organic can also refer to farms, or products from them which incorporate socially responsible activities such as recycling, composting, soil health and environmental protections.
What is Rainforest Alliance?
The Rainforest Alliance Certified seal of approval makes it easy for consumers to know they are buying a product that has been grown or made sustainably. The companies who sell these products also make sure their customers know they are good neighbors in their communities, and that they take care of their workers and protect the environment.

Under the auspices of the Sustainable Agriculture Network (SAN), an international coalition of leading conservation groups, the Rainforest Alliance works with farmers to ensure compliance with the SAN standards for protecting wildlife, wild lands, workers' rights and local communities. Farms that meet these rigorous standards are awarded the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal.
Are your coffees Kosher?
Most of our K-Cups are Kosher Certified Pareve. The only exceptions are our hot cocoa K-Cups, which are certified Kosher-Dairy, and Twinings Tea K-Cups, which are not Kosher certified.
Below are the specific Organizations that pertain to a specific Roaster.
All of our Hot Cocoa K-Cups are certified Kosher-Dairy. Once brewed in a Keurig brewer the brewer converts from Kosher Pareve to Kosher-Dairy and any subsequent K-Cups brewed in this brewer would be classified Kosher-Dairy. If you want your Keurig brewer to remain Kosher Pareve vs. Kosher-Dairy, you'll need a second Keurig Brewer for brewing Hot Cocoa K-Cups. Using a 2nd K-Cup holder will not keep the brewer Kosher Pareve.
